I was walking back home and on the elevator when I saw a girl with a Stuyvesant sweatshirt.  So, I asked her if she went to Stuyvesant.  She said that she didn't but her sister did and she graduated in '03.  She was Jamie's sister, like Kota's Jamie.  It's such a small world.

Stuy rules!   =)

I would like to officially declare myself a nerd.  I spent my saturday night in the library and I was really upset when it closed at 10 PM.   However, in my determination to study remained strong.  So, my friend and I decided to go to the engineering school where the all the nerds are studying on a Saturday night.  We get a little sidetracked with food, but nonetheless I was determined.  I ended up staying at Collegetown Bagels until 1 AM studying econ.

Anyway, I'm still mad that the supposedly 24 hr library closes at 10PM on the weekend.  I am going to protest.  I should be able to study whenever I want to!

The funny thing is Warren called yelling and asking me where I was.  I told him "the library" and he completely didn't believe me.  It's too bad that it's the sad truth.

I haven't written in here for a long time and I'm am doing it now because I am procrastinating.  I think I am stressed to the point that I can not longer feel the stress anymore.  I'm not even half way through the semester yet.  This semester has been crazy so far between studying for the LSAT, preparing to go abroad next semester, and taking a grad class.

I had a Spanish test last Friday that I did very poorly on.  The professor only told us about half the exam: the composition.  On the actual test, there was an additional part that she did not mention that had random quotes from all the audios, readings, and videos that we had ever listened to, read, or watched.  It was a lot of stuff.  We had to ID where it came from and why it was important.  This part definately did not go well and it was worth a significant part of the exam.

For going abroad, I need pre-approval from all the chairs in all the departments in my major.  This week (and next week) I have just been running around trying to get them to sign off.  My LSAT class starts on Tuesday.  I'm just scared that I won't do well on my LSAT and not get into a good law school.  I don't know what else I would do.

My new roomate Steph is great though.  She has made this whole roomate thing as comfortable as it can be.  I guess it also helps that she's not here half the time and neither am I.

Reflection on the Summer:

This summer was a lot of work and a lot of fun.  I worked at the same law firm in Midtown and I took a Princeton Review LSAT class (that I wasn't too pleased with).  There was a lot of overtime at the firm and often I would stay past midnight and come in on the weekends.  I got to see a lot of Stuy people but not as often as I would have like.  Also, I think I like nature and trees better now.  lol..it's a step up for me.  It's probably because I had fun away from the city this summer, including white water rafting and hanging out in the Catskills with Inna's family.  All in all, I had a great summer.  I hope we're still doing secret santa.  In the words of Angie "Please Tsui, please, you can't let secret santa die.  I love doing it every year.  It's so great to see everyone"  lol..those might not be the exact words but something like that .  I love you guys and I will definately see all of you and a lot Winter Break    =)

Inna: Good Luck at Brown.  I know you will be amazing.  lol..you might even be successful at turning them Republican.

Coming back home:

May 21st

It is going to be a busy summer - working at the law firm, taking an LSAT class, and hanging out.

It's going to be great to see everyone again.  We should do a get together.

Before I come home, I have so much stuff to get done.  Next week, I have a Spanish Test, a 10 page paper for labor economics about gender discrimination, and a Spanish composition.  I need to plan a banquet for 60 people, including some faculty members, do a study break program.  Then, finals begin - back to back to back.  On top of this I get to check out residents for the largest dorm in Ivy League (dammit..why didn't I choose a smaller building).   Hindsight is 20/20.

Let me know if you guys want to hang out and what you want to do and when.  =)

To answer Justy's question: "Where have I been?"

I have had an exam every single week since the beginning of this semester.  The first set of prelims went pretty well.  I got screwed on the set set because all the ones I thought I did well on, I bombed.  All the ones I thought I bombed, I did okay on.

I've done some interesting things recently (out of the ordinary for Tsui).

~ I took a walk around the lake.  The geese were so close.  It was a little scary to be honest.

~I did this march today called Take Back the Night.  It is an event to raise awareness for sexual assault and violence.  So I was marching along side all these feminist and everyone was wearing their "This is what a feminist looks like" T-shirts, except me.  I was just thinking how great it would be if I could make a t-shirt that says "This is what an anti-feminist looks like."

"If you can carry my shopping bags and all the other shit I buy, I'll get in the kitchen and bake the  cake"

I'm done with my prelims (midterm exams).  Now all I have left are final papers (labor econ and stats) and 4 finals.  I also have to finish my study abroad apps.  SPAIN, HERE I COME!   =)

So that is my life.  Hongie and Justy, I hope you are happy with the update.
